TexTESOLer of the Year 2014-2015
Jayme Lynch is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and has more than 13 years of teaching experience. She received her Masters from the University of North Texas in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in ESL. She has taught 2nd grade, ESL (K-5), Title I Math (3-5), and Title I Reading (3-5). She also taught ESL to elementary students in Yakutsk, Russia as part of the Yakut TESOL and TexTESOL V Partnership. Throughout her years in teaching, Ms. Lynch has sat on the writing committee for the Plano ESL and Math Curriculum, mentored new faculty, served on many school wide committees, and been nominated for teacher of the year. She currently teaches ESL in Plano ISD at Mathews Elementary and Hughston Elementary.
Jayme served on the TexTESOL V board from 2007 to 2014 as Elementary Representative, President Elect, President, and Past President. She was the local co-chair for the 2012 International TESOL conference in Dallas. She also facilitated the first-ever collaborative state conference among the four Texas TESOL affiliates in 2013.
Jayme enjoys spending time with her son, Ryman, and the rest of her family. Family and friends are what make her life complete and when she is not working, she can be found spending time with them.
