EXTENDED DEADLINE – AUGUST 1, 2018
If you missed the July 1 proposal deadline for the TexTESOL state conference, we have great news! We are extending the deadline for posters and quickshare proposals through August 1. If you’ve never presented at a conference before, posters and quickshares are excellent entry point opportunities.
Still not sure? Read the descriptions below for more info.
A quickshare is a 15-minute low-tech presentation presented 3 times in a row at a round table with 10 chairs. Attendees select three quickshares that they want to and rotate every 15 minutes. This venue is perfect for teachers in any context who have a successful activity, lesson, or use of technology that they would like to demonstrate in a small-group setting.
A poster session involves preparing a poster and an accompanying 3-5-minute explanation that is presented multiple times throughout a 45-minute poster session. Attendees walk around the room to view the posters, listen to explanations, and ask questions when appropriate. This venue is ideal for a wide variety of presenters – from graduate students to early career researchers to administrators to classroom teachers. We look forward to reading your proposal!
